Family Day at the Florence County Museum

From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days at the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. Join us the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Family Day at the FCM. No registration required. Free of charge.
Creating with Color
Museum Lobby
Learn the science of how our eyes distinguish color by creating a spinning Newton’s Disc. Participants will create a spinning color wheel that blends art and science.
Art Studio
Can you create a dramatic moonlight painting with just one color? Participants will use tints and shades of blue to create a nighttime winter scene.
Multipurpose Room
You don’t need to go to the store to buy paint. You can make it at home! Participants will use kitchen supplies to make their own watercolor paint palette.
