Located in the east wing of the first floor, adjacent to the Community Gallery is the museum’s interactive Education Gallery. Through the use of a dynamic exhibit schedule, this gallery serves to provide families with a hands-on interactive educational component that corresponds to the museum’s other concurrent exhibitions.
Revitalization Station highlights the history of the museum’s property located at 111 West Cheves Street through the display of objects that were found on site during the museum’s construction. Additionally, families are invited to participate in the future revitalization of Florence by building their own properties using the gallery’s giant LEGO® wall representation of historic downtown.
Revitalization Station opens on October 11, 2014 and will remain on display through September 7, 2015 in the Education Gallery.
