Join us for a creative and hands-on Accordion Book Making Workshop at the Florence County Museum! In this After Hours Art Class, participants will learn the art of bookbinding and creating accordion-style books. This workshop will cover basic accordion bookbinding techniques and a chance to create your own book. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is needed. Spots are limited to 12.
Delaney MeSun Shin, born and raised in the Midwest, is an interdisciplinary artist exploring her identity through biological imagery. Her work spans hanging installations and 2D/3D artworks, reflecting her roots, cultural upbringing, and microbiology influences. Inspired by the natural sciences and her biracial Korean-Caucasian heritage, Shin’s art is marked by authenticity and self-expression. Trained in drawing and painting, she primarily works with paper. Shin holds an MFA from Bowling Green State University and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She currently teaches at Francis Marion University.
