Join us on the evening of Thursday, May 5 from 6 to 8 pm, for a reception in honor of North Carolina artist Margaret Curtis, whose exhibition [Non]Fiction is currently on display at the Florence County Museum Special Exhibit Gallery.
For the past 30 years, Curtis’ art has dealt with feminism, family, politics, and power. Before returning to the South, Curtis taught and exhibited in New York. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections and has been featured in Art in America, Art Forum, Modern Painters, and The New York Times.
Florence County Museum is proud to present this exhibition as a showcase of excellence in contemporary Southern art & extends its thanks to the Asheville Art Museum, Tracey Morgan Gallery, and the many private collectors who have made this exhibition possible.
